With the Holidays less than a week away, I want to take this time to wish all of you here a warm and peaceful holiday season. Let us take a moment to also remember those that are away protecting our freedoms. Having spent a Christmas in S.E.A., I know how it feels. My bird season ends January 1st, and I'm going out this Monday to try for a day of Grousemas! My best wishes to all, Karl

Merry Christmas to everyone here, for themselves, and their family; especially the children, grandchildren, and hopefully great grandchildren. I also love the idea of grousemas; it brings back fond memories of when my family and I could have Pheasant for Christmas. Mike

Merry CHRISTmas to friends all over, from the deep South. May we all find joy during this season in the remembrance of the greatest event in human history ............. when God bankrupted heaven and reduced himself to our lowly state. Praise be to Him.
Blessings! SRH

Merry Christmas to all here. In addition, if you happen to not celebrate Christmas I also wish each of you a very merry and happy holiday that you do choose to celebrate!

Merry Christmas to all. Reading this board has given many hours of enjoyment and knowledge I appreciate.
May this blessed time of the year cause everyone to really think about why we celebrate this season. No other historical event has effected so many for so long a time. As the angels proclaimed..."Fear not, for behold I bring you great tidings of great joy...."

Back at you, Karl: My Minnesota bird season also ends January 1st. Hoping to sneak out for either pheasants or grouse, or both, between now and then. Hope you have great tidings in the coming year. Best, Ted

Blessings! SRH Stan & All; I fully understand your sentiments, so don't take this as being overly picky, but in reality, the greatest event in human history was not the Birth of Jesus, but when he made the ultimate sacrifice on the Cross for all mankind. It was simply necessary to be born as a man in order to die as a man.

Agreed, Miller, and it's not being picky. I considered those sentiments before I ever posted my earlier thoughts. But, I'm sure you will agree that going to the cross could never have happened had He not lowered himself to becoming a man, first. That is the basis of my statement.
All my best, SRH

Stan; In total agreement, which is why I stated it was necessary for him to be born as a man in order to go to the cross as a man.
Understand, I celebrate Christmas, but it was actually instituted by man. It is Scriptural to celebrate his Death, Burial & Resurrection through the communion. As the apostle, Paul stated when you partake of the bread & the fruit of the vine you Show Forth his death until he comes again.
