Interesting the gun is marked with the Crown/B indicating it only went through the definitive proof after finished. Usually seen on guns imported to Germany during that period from areas without a recognized proof system. It just appeared to me to have some Swiss flavor to the triggerguard and butt plate-but that is an just a gut feeling, not substantiated by any means. Sort of an obscure cartridge which won't help it for resale. Appears to be setup for offhand target with a fairly mild cartridge, hook butt plate, set triggers, extreme trigger guard etc. On the full length photo there seems to be a protrusion midpoint on the top of the wrist, is that a possible sightbase for a tang sight? Also appears to have a dovetail rail on the barrel? I have seen that 3/4 oval with the MI before, but having trouble finding it in my files again. I will keep looking.
