The book is very good, but there are only a few photos of boxlocks. Mention is made of A&D's that were "bought in", but at least some of them received modifications depending on the customer's desires.

There are price lists from a couple catalogs. It would appear that "best gun" referred to hammerless sidelocks, and there are also prices for "cheaper hammerless guns" starting at 12 pounds in the 1897 catalog. Those are almost certainly boxlocks.
