I am not much of a peddler on small items so giving something away is usually pretty easy. I have a Filson Strap type vest that does not work out for my style of hunting . I assume it is highly popular with others by reading the reviews on the Filson site. They call it a Shelter Cloth Strap vest. Their item No. 20020029. This one is a size Regular......
Check their website for specific details to see if it suits your needs.
If it is something one of you guys can use , or better yet if someone has a young man or lady hunter coming on line I would like to send it along to someone who will put it to use.
Send me an address and i'll get it shipped.

Paul, Let the 9 yo boy have the vest, please. Not given much choice.... Being a Filson user for 30 plus years a Filson regular vest might fit a 9 year old kid by the time he gets to be a 20 year old kid. Just my observation.

Size is not the issue for me..... I'm 6' even , and weigh 178 lbs. this morning.....Fits fine, room to spare ....Pocket configuration just was not as much to my liking as another vest I use most of the time.... So there is a chance he might still be a good fit 20 years from now..... We don't all have to change into 3XL's, Heck, as I remind my M.D. all the time, I still wear the same size Levi's I did when I graduated from High School.....that usually slows down the lecture about my lifestyle that he is prone to give me occasionally.
It should be in the Mail to Maine tomorrow.....

I have an old Filson shelter cloth hunting coat that I wear--on those rare occasions when I don't just layer clothes under a vest. Shelter cloth is more "wearer friendly" than the famous Filson tin cloth. Basically, it feels very much like the material used in military shelter halves, for those of you who have experience with those. Not waterproof, but then no strap vest is going to help you much in that regard.
