Shoot the daylights out of it & enjoy it. Maybe a wood refinish if that.
Depending on what you paid for it, any money you would spend on a restoration would probably be lost. It's your gun, follow your gut feeling.

Use it as it for one year and then decide.
You DO plan to shoot it, right?

Your 20 looks new ! Here is my second hand 20 made in 1900: Many of the dents and barb wire scratches were put there by the original owner and the rest by me in my teenage years. I still take it out yearly and shoot a few doves just to bring back memories.

Depends. If you can shoot it as is, I'd just put a period pad on it and go for it. Would be nice to see pictures of the frame.

The advice to use it for some time is well taken. But, it is your gun, now, and was not a collectors virgin when you got it. Blue is a maintenance item. The checkering is to help you hang on to the gun when using it, and does not work as well for that when it is worn. It can be recut. The recoil pad sucks. Not period, not aesthetic. People tell me that white line pads are making a comeback, but, I hope they are wrong. Do with it as you wish. Doing nothing is not wrong, either, if that works for you.
Best, Ted

Very nice wood, Tamid. My "new" DHE has similar wood.
I'd like to see some more pics sometime, if possible. Maybe a little closer up?
What length are your barrels?

Burn the white line pad and get a repo (or if you can find original) Hawkins or Noshoc
