The Missouri law changed 8-28-2007 to eliminate the need for stste handgun registration, and eliminated the need to obtain a sheriff's purchase permit for each handgun. The new law also simplifies an individual selling a handgun to another individual. Federal laws still apply, and the dealer must use the normal F-4473 process.
Luddites such as Thorny seem to object to any change, even the beneficial ones. Most of the rest of us were pleased with this change. Misouri also passed a new/easier CCW law a few years back.
