Brady is not a 'good law'. It's a burden on non-criminal people and has not ever prevented one bad guy from obtaining a weapon and it never will.
All DOJ/ATF has to do now to prevent legal gun transfers through dealers is to shut off the NICS phone line. Don't think for a minute that the senator from NY doesn't know that.
There is talk now of eliminating 'loopholes' in the law, thus making all sales go through FFL holders. So much for freedom. What a great law.
As for Michigan needing this kind of nonsense more than other places, just remember that if they can do it to me then they can do it to you.
ALL such laws are simply stepping stones, chipping away bit by bit at our constitutional rights. The ultimate goal is prohibition and confiscation.
