Recently I saw an evaluation of the FAIR ISIDE SXS by the American Rifleman. It is made in Italy. So I contacted the importer and received a dealer price sheet. Their flyer offered left hand stocks and custom dimensions for very good prices. I have a left handed customer who is always game to try a new shotgun, so I tried to order an ISIDE with ejectors and double triggers with a left hand stock to his dimensions. Since the NRA had indicated that the barrels on their test shotgun shot apart, I asked them to explain how the barrels were regulated and asked if they guaranteed that the barrels would shoot together, unlike the gun tested by the NRA. The Italians were on vacation for the month of August, so I didn't bother them with follow ups until September. I left messages with the salesman but he never would return my calls. A week or so back I finally got through to him and he indicated that they would not place the order. I gather that it had something to do with my question about the guarantee on where the barrels shot. I even asked for a gun with standard left hand stock, but they also refused that order. The only conclusion I can reach is that they did not want to guarantee that the barrels would shoot together. My customer was disappointed, and I lost a sale. But I'm thinking that the real loser is the US importer. I would suggest before ordering a FAIR ISIDE, you might ask if the gun can be returned if the barrels don't shoot together.

FAIR is no worse than any other mass producing double gunmaker as far as guaranteeing pattern regulation. None will do so. Beretta won't correct the problem unless the pattern center is over 8" off. I don't remember the range they specify.
My FAIR Iside is so close to perfect horizontally that I haven't even bothered with correcting it. Just an inch or two on the left barrel. Perfect 60/40 vertically. I dealt with Bazil Slaughter as my dealer, and was very pleased with his services.

I asked for custom dimensions on my Iside and everything was right except the drop at comb was a good 1/8" high. It did indeed shoot high, but I have to say it shoots quite well for me, both barrels. Nevertheless I wanted it to place the patterns like my others, so I sand-fit-dialed the pattern back to 60/40ish like my others. My Iside appears to be well regulated.

I ordered custom dimensions on mine too, Dave. Mine was ordered just before the end of July, so had to wait for their August vacation to get over with before it could be completed and shipped. Nice having another 30" barreled .410 ejector gun that has long enough LOP. I think enough of mine that I opened dove season with it here last month.

Stan, I had the LOP on mine set to my cold weather clothes for I'm mostly a cold weather hunter. This summer I used a slip-on for clays and it worked out pretty well. I think they are nice shooting guns and I like mine a lot.
