I had some basic EOD training, at USMC Camp Lejeune, Courthhouse bay facility- Plus on a family farm in Southern Ohio- I learned from my Grandfather how to "blow stumps and boulders" with "DuPont persuasion sticks"-- Back then, the local hardware store sold it to farmers, also fuse-- the dynamite was kept in the basement, packed in sawdust in large wooden crates--Not today!! RWTF
