King: serious question. You have pointed out many times that Pres. Trump did not receive a majority of the popular vote and apparently take issue with the Electoral College. (For the life of me I cant understand why. I could not care less how Canada chooses the PM. Have a bake off or a spelling bee. Makes no difference to me). But you do not directly elect the PM under the present system and is totally possible that the PM is chosen without having received the support of a majority of the electorate. Now, Im no expert in Canadian politics but I think Ive got that right. PMs can be chosen by a plurality of the MPs in some cases. Or consider an election with only 5 ridings of 100 voters each. Liberal MPs win 3 ridings 51/49. Conservative MPs win 2 ridings 99/1. The Liberals would choose the PM, although Conservatives received many more votes. Your antipathy to the Elwctoral College seems hypocritical. What am I missing?
