I think he is clicking his fingers David. You do it & look at your finger positions. Same as his.

Not sure, nice eye for detail. My guess is- he has an early series Winchester M-12-- 20 gauge cradled and ready to go hunting. RWTF

Stan has good taste, except for the Turkish shotgun.
Abbett was the master. I have a few prints of his, and a book.
He did not feel the need to paint every feather and blade of grass like some do.
Your attention is, however, sharply drawn to the dogs which make bird hunting the experience it is.
My ideal afterlife exists in a Bob Abbett painting.
