I wouldn't join anything that's by invitation only because it would be cluttered by members as frail. complicated and vulnerable as me.

I only know Beans thru the BBS, but I thought he was a good ole' boy. Old fashioned, in a good way. Full of it, but no more than many others (you know who you are) and entertaining.
Didn't he disappear shortly after DGJ ran some pix of an Elsie that was poorly engraved? Hard to look at, and surely more so after recently bragging about the wonderful Elsie engraving. I recall he took a lot of ragging about that gun.

Ol' Beans was a character alright, in all the best kinda ways. Before owd thorny was put-out of ssmbbs, a bean's post was always a must read.
Someone email him, and tell him to pop in from time to time here, he would be most welcome indeed.
