OK- maybe 2 different benches were involved in the mfg. of this gun? Strange, as the fonts are the same from barrel flats and water table on my 20 ga. Sterlingworth Utica 1934-35 mfg. Foxy

The serial number fonts being different on the watertable and barrel flats is almost the norm on Ansley H. Fox doubles. What are these markings on the 20-gauge barrel flats? In case you missed this fOx.

a 1905 BHE 20 Parker with Acme steel barrels-OK, but the Titanic grade steel was normally found on the DHE grade Parkers.. Also, in 1905, did Parker have the 12&1/2% tool steel bolt plate pinned in place, or did that feature come later on. I await the expertise of the Parkeristas extant on this website. I have strange feelings about this dealer and these 2 offerings- caveat empetor, right?? Has anyone her dealt with them?? RWTF

The gun has the 1905 style bolt-plate, not the more commonly seen 1910 style. The gun, 130114, was produced 4,115 guns earlier than the first Acme Steel barreled Parker 134229 known to have been produced. In the early years of steel barrels Titanic Steel was used on Grade 3, 4 and 5 guns.

Thanks- assume you are a PGCA member? But I read the fine print from this Down East dealer- in one place, 3 day inspection, but on this gun, and the 2 barreled set Fox, no returns- in the fine print folks-- Also- if you live in MT and have it shipped through the FFL system, when do they count the 3 day period- from date of receipt by you or your FFL dealer? I'd sure check this out for the kind of dinero they are asking for these "re-vamped" Paaakars!! RWTF

RWTF I have always been told by every dealer I've done business with, that's it 3 days from receipt by the receiving dealer. IOW, get your butt to the dealer right away because the clock is ticking.
