It sounds like a correct comparison, but I have not studied the English guntrade the way I have the Belgian guntrade...fortunately I was lucky enough to have been given a basic framework or understanding of the Liege doublegun trade by an elderly member of the OGCA. Then, I somehow got hooked up with a surveyer from North Carolina, who grew up in the cottage industry of Liege. Over the following 20 years, I've found very little contradictoty material and a lifelong romance with Liege double shotguns...I like to keep a few layin' around in case pheasants ever make a come back in NY State...
