CB, Its nothing personal, as I said in Bobs original thread, I have no use for upgrades, would never consider buying one, and insofar as Bobs motives, he made it clear in the post he has since deleted where he bragged on making a profit on 100 guns in the last 20 years. I had nothing to do with that statement. Come on man, read a spade as a spade and no BS.

I don't care If bOb replicates a rare gun and it later gets passed as an orginal...

Why don't I care because I'm not a gun collector. One thing I do know is history is easily lost.

Stan do you think replicating a rare gun hurts gun collecting ?

Ol'bOb reminds of the kid with a new little red wagon.

What's clear Buzz, that Bob likes to make a profit on his guns? So what? So do I and I am sure so do you. Same goes for everyone on this site unless they have a screw loose.

Oh, maybe Bob's been creating a "counterfeit" gun. That's a laugh. Guys who are counterfeiting don't plaster pictures of their counterfeit gun all over the internet, detailing the upgrade process.

But wait.....say Bob sells the gun and then the next owner decides to pass it off as original. Oh the humanity!!! Any collector of guns as rare as what the upgrade would be, who doesn't do his due diligence (that's called typing it into google) is an idiot. I won't say deserves to be taken with a fake but I'd have little sympathy for a fool so easily parted with his money.

So yeah, let's call a spade a spade and hear what your real problem is with Bob.

I just told you, its nothing personal. What more do you want me to say? And, btw when Angelo Bee and Art Isaacson get done with that gun , it WILL appear as an original. Only a savvy collector who know the ropes, knows the Browning people in the know, knows how to make contact with the Browning historian will not be fooled that its not original. Mind you, Im not alleging Bob will try to fool anyone, but years from now and after the gun has left Bobs care, thats when the waters will get muddy as to whats original and what isnt. I will repeat myself....I have no use for upgrades. Simple as that.

Have you considered that others do have a use for upgrades? That your vision of enjoying guns isn't the only one. That others can have a different perspective.

Maybe "collectors" should get a little savvy when they are dropping 5 figures on a gun. And I repeat....had you left this thread alone it would have quickly come up in a simple google search for us "non savvy" collectors. Not that hard to ascertain originality Buzz.

You made your point in the first thread. This was just gratuitous or the result of an unbridled ego, demanding the rest of us dance to your tune.

Ok, well I guess you have this all figured out. Well CB, had Bob not bragged about all of his profits with all of his projects, I would have let it go. But, when I saw the braggin, I just couldnt harness the unbridled ego. Sorry. But if you are now willing to stop here, then so will I be.
