I'm looking to get a 20 gauge around 28" barrels shotgun for my daughter to shoot clays. I'm looking at the Beretta 693 or 695 and the Rizzini Artemis, can I have some suggestions on either of these or anything else in the $3000 range?? My daughter is 32 and has only shot clays 3 or 4 times but loves it.
Thanks Barry

Both are good guns. IMO, the decision should be made by how well each fits her. The kicker, for me, is the drop. The Rizzini likely won't have as much drop as the Beretta. Not a big difference, but enough for me to choose Beretta. I just can't find a Rizzini gun that doesn't shoot too high for me. Others don't necessarily have that problem.
If you can, have her mount each gun empty and aim at your master eye, after verifying that the gun is unloaded, of course. You can tell if she is looking down the rib as she should, or if her eye is too high in relation to the rib. Shooting a plate is the best test, however, if possible.
Fine guns for clays, both.

Typically, a lady will require a higher comb (less drop) than a man

You are an hour away from Rich Cole, who can provide a proper stock fitting and the gun (probably a Beretta) that fits your daughter. https://colegun.com/

Or, you could look at Syren shotguns. Supposedly optimized for females. https://syrenusa.com/

............... which are made by Caesar Guerini. An excellent suggestion, and excellent guns. SRH

The only reason would be that the vertical distance between the cheekbone and the eye is less on most women, if indeed that is the case. Most of us mount a shotgun with our cheek bone just above the comb. If the distance, vertically, to the eye is more, the drop must be more. If the distance is less, the drop must be less.
My eye must be a loooong ways from my cheekbone. I just can't shoot many Italian O/Us, because of the skimpy drop. A distance of 1/4" too little is a huge amount, 1/2" is a mile. This is why, for the vast majority of good shooters, it is easier to shoot a gun with a bit too much drop than one with too little. It's just unnatural to have to float a target or bird way above the muzzles. IMHO.

Some aspects of gun fit seem to be related to female accoutrements.

Huumm- I recall my late Granddad telling me that that there are certain things the "fairer sex" members do NOT participate in, they are a man's business: all start with the letter "P"-- Poker, Pool, Politics, shooting Pheasants--
I though accouterments was a French word for "doo-dads"-- or other forms of female fashion- learning something new every day here, whether I want to or not- RWTF
