Really CBack? Try to step outside from the fold. I have been pointing out, although brutally because they don't deserve any less, is that they are all full of sh!t espousing the virtues of the Founders when in reality, the Founders would disapprove of how they support a foreign adversary influencing our election because it benefits their ideology and political party and then take steps to conceal the influence and lie about it to the American people.
I'll admit, I find you to be a particularly interesting case cause I know you hate dictators, depots and tyrants, yet I would like to know how you square your support for all things Trump when he is in the bag for dictators, despots and tyrants. Putin, MBS, and Kim Jong-un have murdered people including journalists who expose their regimes and American citizens, and Trump sides with them over our own intelligence agencies and fancies himself a king.
How do you square your support for Trump with your despise for his idols?
And even though you probably want to get into it, I'm going to refrain from labeling you as disloyal or unpatriotic. Being a citizen of another country earns you that distinction, but it doesn't reach loyalty to one's own convictions. That's a disloyalty of a another sort.
First, where have I ever said I support "all things Trump". He's a populist, not a true conservative/libertarian, which is closer to how I think.
But to your main point, from my catbird seat up here to the north, your squealing about disloyalty and the founding fathers might have more resonance had we heard something similar from you regarding Hillary or Obama or big Bill himself. But we didn't. So it's a bit hard to swallow the faux outrage on this subject now.
As far as why I do support Trump, it's based on the fact that he's an amateur in the halls of power. That his instincts, if not his self control, are in the right place. That the system is largely corrupt, no matter which side is in power, so I like the outsider.
It doesn't hurt that while he engages and enrages the talking heads and the left, he's actually getting stuff done that has Americans.....all Americans....doing as well as they have in several generations. And don't give me the bullshit about he took over Oabama's economy.
In fact I think the stridency we see among the masses, on both the left and the right, is based on this fact. The average joe has come to realize they are all full of shit and they are all in it for themselves. So people like Trump on the right and Saunders and AOC on the left have gained prominence and power specifically because millions of people are fed up with the swamp.
