couple really neat rifles, Note the checkering on the gew98 style rifle. new better res pic  Does anyone have an idea who this is? The calendar is dated 1931 and the newspaper says Louisville.

I dont know anything about the photo or where exactly it was taken but the man is Adolph (A.O.) Niedner.

Never seen any images of Niedner later in life. But if that's Niedner, he sure changed dramatically from his early look!

Umm, if you have a copy of Michael's second book, look on page 49. Have never owned either of Michael's fine books. Since my personal interest is always single shot rifles from the late 1800's, there's not much related to those in Michael's books.
