Can anybody help with definitive (not personal experiences!) advice on the rules for someone who has been living and working in the USA and wants to return to the UK with his two personal shotguns?
The enquiry I received was as follows:
'Over the last 12 years I have been working in the USA where I purchased and used 2 shotguns for clay pigeon shooting. I am now returning to the UK and would like to bring the 2 shotguns home with me (these are used and have been owned for more than 6 months and I have no intention of selling them upon my return).'
I know how this end works and I know what the situation is for a US visitor but not for someone who has been living and working in the USA.
I would stress that I do not have a commercial interest in this, only trying to help the guy.
