It's just a matter of scoring for the shooters. With a flurry, to score properly, a dedicated scorer should be watching the birds from a single trap. 5 traps, 5 scorers and one trapper. With the Make-A-Break, Dawn can trap and score by herself, and she does a fantastic job too!!

For the uninitiated, M-A-B uses 8 traps, numbered 1 through 7 (two #1 traps). Each shooter will shoot 10 pair. You will shoot 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6 and 1-7. When shooting, a point value is assigned to each bird (according to the trap number) and as the point value increases, so does the degree of difficulty. To receive the full value of the second bird, the #1 bird must be broken. If you miss the #1 target, the second bird doesn't score if you break it! After the first 6 pair the two shooters switch sides, if the leader wants to. Then you pick 4 more pair to shoot. For more points you shoot the 5,6 or 7. To maintain a good size lead, you choose 2,3 or 4.

High score and runner up in each gauge split the pot 60/40!!

There you have it, a Make-A-Break primer. Pretty simple actually, and a very addicting game!!
