When buying late season pheasant loads this year, I was unable to find any really heavy 16 gauge shells.
There is a Fiocchi 16 gauge, 2 3/4", 1 3/8 ounce load at 1310 fps. It is loaded in 5s and 6s. The only place online I've seen to sell them is Lion Country Supply.
With almost certainty, that's a typo on Lion Country's website. Fiocchi's 16ga GP load is 1 1/8oz at 1310.
That would explain my surprise when I saw it listed, and no other retailer had it.
I will stick with the 12 gauge, 3", 1 3/4 ounce load.
