Hey Mike,

All I know for sure is....... a Fox (or 2)!

If my stock gets back from the duplicator in time, I'll slap a couple coats of sealer on it and shoot my 32" SW.

As I back-up plan, I bought a 30" A grade at the States for pheasants and just sent the barrels out to Mike Orlen; they should be back in plenty of time.

I think I'll also shoot the 16ga event with my 30" SW.

Looking forward to the shoot!

best, Mike

Mike,
Sorry I didn't see your post to me sooner. I can send some product info, and/or you can visit circlefly.com.
I am visiting RST on Friday to pick up my dealer stock of shells, so I probably won't have the room to bring anything along.

Sounds like you're ready to play Mike!! Should be a great weekend.

Craig, I'll visit your site. Could you bring some hard copies of your product info please? Thanks.

Mike

More great news for our doublegunners!! D&G Traps will be at Rock Mountain for the Sunday part of the event and we'll be running either a Make-A-Break or a Flurry Field to go along with all the rest of the shooting fun!! Payouts will stay in class (gauge) whether the game is M-A-B or Flurry!! Don't forget that pre- registration guarantees food both days.

When do you decide if it's the make a breaK or the flurry> The two are quite different. If you deceide on the make a break maybe you'll want to post how it works. I doubt that most double gunners know what it is.

It's just a matter of scoring for the shooters. With a flurry, to score properly, a dedicated scorer should be watching the birds from a single trap. 5 traps, 5 scorers and one trapper. With the Make-A-Break, Dawn can trap and score by herself, and she does a fantastic job too!!

For the uninitiated, M-A-B uses 8 traps, numbered 1 through 7 (two #1 traps). Each shooter will shoot 10 pair. You will shoot 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6 and 1-7. When shooting, a point value is assigned to each bird (according to the trap number) and as the point value increases, so does the degree of difficulty. To receive the full value of the second bird, the #1 bird must be broken. If you miss the #1 target, the second bird doesn't score if you break it! After the first 6 pair the two shooters switch sides, if the leader wants to. Then you pick 4 more pair to shoot. For more points you shoot the 5,6 or 7. To maintain a good size lead, you choose 2,3 or 4.

High score and runner up in each gauge split the pot 60/40!!

There you have it, a Make-A-Break primer. Pretty simple actually, and a very addicting game!!

I am told that I should be getting my SXS back from the gunsmith tomorrow. If that materializes, I will see you guys in the mountains.
