Paying Dave for all of the sales he made here on books and classes over the years might have been a decent and thoughtful solution. When SDH-MT first began hawking his books and classes by using this site for free advertising, he felt he was entitled to it. As I said, I knew it was wrong, and I knew about Dave Weber's stated feelings on people who use his site for personal gain. I wouldn't be surprised if Steven knew of it too, but felt he could get away with it by slipping his self promotion of books and expensive classes here in this forum.
I held my tongue and said nothing about his advertising, even though I long ago wrote him off as a pompous condescending little prick. That opinion was based upon his interactions with others here. It wasn't until he launched an attack on me for moving QUOTES of his Liberal pal rocky mtn bill's Socialist and anti-gun drivel from the main double gun forum over to here that I decided enough was enough. Steven was suggesting that everyone on this site should IGNORE and shun me. He wished to silence me.
Turn-about is fair play, but Steven can't take what he dishes out. That should tell us a lot about him, as should his repeated use of this site for free advertising for personal gain. It isn't as if doing the right thing merely slipped his mind. I brought it up in his June 2018 Advertising thread, and others did as well. Instead of correcting his misuse of the forum, he doubled-down and did the same advertising both here and in the main Double-gun forum... to get more free exposure, and I'm sure to poke a finger in my eye to show me he was above paying Dave Weber.
