I thought I was content with my 28 20s for the uplands but I recently picked up a 30 20ga Arrieta and have been impressed with the balance and feel. Its only been to the range so far but I have high hopes for next season. Its barely 2oz heavier than my 28 20s.
A DGJ article on the long-barrelled Widgeon Duck Club DHEs started me down this path. Since moving to Idaho, my days of navigating the tight quarters of grouse and woodcock thickets are minimal. Most of my covers are now miles and miles of open space so I figured Id give longer barrels a chance.
Im contemplating a 30 20ga Model 21 as a clays/high volume shooter. Anyone shoot one? Id welcome some pics!
