I'd lean towards Rynowet red sheet stock, and I have used that Norton product. I believe it outlasts and out cuts the Norton paper, but I could see where that's subjective. I do know that the Rynowet is thinner, which I prefer because it allows the backing block that I choose to matter a tad bit more. And, I don't seem to get the random stray oversized grit that puts a scratch in whatever finish level I'm supposed to be at, as can happen more than I'd prefer.
For me, I don't over worry about finding a product locally, my retailers are just too inconsistent with availability and product switching to count on. I also assume the abrasive will load and wear, and results come about quicker and better if I keep switching to fresh abrasives a bit sooner rather than later. Only thoughts Stan, good luck with your search.
