Back home at 2 AM, this morning. Weather was perfect. Not as many birds as usual, but I killed more doves than in all the last 15 years total, here. Had a great time, great food and, of course, great company. 10 guys from Mexico City had been booked but cancelled because of Tropical Storm Erin. It would have been fun to meet them and enjoy their company but the good news was that Mikey and I had the run of the place.
I'd just like to ask your opinions on the following minor controversy: Yesterday morning, the last shoot, we were having a friendly competition. Mike bagged 29 doves and I bagged 28. However, my bird boy, Malente, killed un conejo(one rabbit) with his slingshot. It seems to me un conejo should count as at least dos palomas, giving my team 30 points over Mike's 28. Mike's not buying the conejo bonus idea, though.
What say y'all?
