Just curious to know what kind of oil/cleaning products you guys use on your good guns, i personally have used Rem oil for most of my life, but have used Break-free CLP for the last five years or so, it seems to work well as an all in one cleaner/lube

I also use Rem oil for lubrication, but use Ed's Red for bore swabbing, have for many years. CLP was too pricey last time I checked, but it may have been at least partially due to where I checked. Very happy with my results from the products I use. I shoot a good bit of clays and am an occasional upland hunter, so I do use a fair amount of product.

I've been using Ballistol lately for the main reason that I can use it on the wood, on the metal, and on the leather sling. Great for a quick wipe down when out in the field on a rainy day. Some love the smell, but I think it smells like a mix of stale damp towel and anise. I also like the history of the oil, but I would guess it is probably not the best cleaner/lubricant choice out there. It is also relatively non-toxic.

Clean is relative.
for me, it's cleaning the barrels with a bronze brush (muzzels down into the waste basket), a plastic solvent soaked patch, a little soaking time, a dry patch, and finished by an oiled patch.

But, I think you mean "What should I wipe my guns down with after I go shooting?"

If that is the case, then I recommend just purchasing a couple tubes, of the oil impregnated wipes (they dispense like a handi-wipe ) and leave them down in the useless cup holders found on the lower section of the doors of most American pickup trucks.

When you return to the truck, prior to casing, just pull one off, and wipe all the metal down.
They don't allow over oiling, and, they leave a nice film that will resist moisture from getting into your slip.

They have saved me from thousands of dollars of refinishing, because I habituated the wiping down upon arrival.

In the cup holders, eh. Same place we keep the little package of Tucks wipes...Geo

Clensoil, inside, outside, and the wood as well. It dries leaving an invisable water repellant film.

One of those wipe dispensers in the cup holder is, as my homie used to say, "The shizzle!"

Why they put drainless cup holders down there is beyond me. Even my 1984 Honda wagon had drain holes in the map pockets. Sheesh.

I use Ezzox as an exterior wipe down on all my blue steel guns and as a cleaner in my rifle bores....in my truck I keep some Ezzox on a rag inside a zip lock sandwich bag for emergencies.

I've used Balistol as mentioned but it darkens leather and is water soluble....it's great for cleaning black powder.
