The wet dry cycles have been going on forever. The 2000-yo fire-scarred redwoods show that. But now our fire suppression has allowed silver fir to build up around them to the point where the next fire may kill many of them. Other variables of course such as roads and introduced plants. liberal idiots will be to blame....

Geo, its a bit more complicated. Every dried up mud puddle is a wetland, every other slug-n-snail is endangered, and one cant impede access to a dispensary.

There are fossil records that prove California suffered droughts that lasted 2000-2500 YEARS, prior to human habitation. Do you wonder about why it didnt rain then?
You shouldnt. Nor, should you worry about it now. It happens.
If, I live on land surrounded by Federal land that sees no management for fire suppression, it likely falls on me to decide whether I stay or go.
The Feds dont live there. Fire isnt a problem in my neighborhood. It isnt an accident I live here.
