I worked a poll today for two candidates. One is an incumbent congressman with one of the most conservative voting records in the US House. The other is an up-n-comer young Army vet running for the PA state house. Plenty of liberals came through, grumpy and sour and surly and disrespectful as always, but brother, was there ever a wave of conservatives who voted. When I left the poll at 4:10 today, 670 voters out of a total 1,100 registered to vote in that precinct had voted. And I am quite positive that the after-work voter crowd was probably intense. Probably an 80% to 90% voter turnout at the one poll will be seen by 8:00 PM tonight, and everything I am hearing from across this region, and across the state, and across the country is that it is record voter turnout everywhere. Let's hope it's our kind of people who are voting.
