Sweet for sure. My first shotgun purchased with earned money was a Sweet 16. I paid $150 for one in like new condition from Bob Hughes, a dealer in Athens, Ga. Gil

If John Browning thought the A5 needed greased he would've put in a grease fitting.

You MAY have difficulty with 7/8 oz reloads, or something like 7/8 (or especially 3/4 oz) RST. Even on the light setting. But Sweeties aren't so light that the standard 1 oz factory stuff is going to result in significant felt recoil. They're a good bit lighter than a Standardweight 16, but even the lightest Sweeties (plain barrel, 26") aren't much more than a couple ounces under 6#. Nice guns.

Mine is well over 7 pounds.
I can't imagine how one would scale at under 6.

At least we can agree on that. Even the 20s are more than 6 lbs.

I bought a 32" A-5 12ga Magnum (Jap). Switched the recoil spring/brass ring to standard model from my parts bin and it cycles all my 1 oz target loads like a dream. I put an extra full turkey choke in it and terrorize the five stand at my club. Lots of fun!!!!!!!

It astounds me that these are considered classics. I certainly don't see anything to like in them, but obviously we all have different tastes.
