Yes, the whole thing is "embracing in an oddly narrow way." To me, what we're embracing is not what Jesus taught. The way members cut up each other with vulgar and obnoxious behaviour is antithesis to requirements of Christian doctrine and dogma, numbering in the hundreds in "The True Church" alone.

I'm with The Ten Commandments and the simple injunction to love. The great Frye is a backstop: "The knowledge you cannot have is of the riddles of birth and death and the purposes of God. Here there is no knowledge, but illusions that restrict freedom and limit hope." I leave it there.

(As for the judge thing, it will hurt and be hateful but I believe it the best thing that could happen for your great country, under the circumstances.)
