Told James on the phone a few days ago that as an American in Alberta (spent three years there doing my undergrad) that while I found Thanksgiving in early October kinda strange, I really liked it- the American students would then get together at my place (married student the last two years) for the American version the next month. Kinda like being a fan of the two party (or more) system.

Trust our Canadian friends had a good one.

Had a great Thanksgiving in the Interlake of Manitoba. Neighbor lady sent over a big plate of ham, meatballs, mashed potatoes, perogies, roast beef, with a center section of roast pork and rice in the center in a red cabbage leaf. They have to drink from dinky 12 oz cans there, so I brought them up a case of Bud one-pounders and four of the man-size 24 oz from North Dakota.
