Thanks Gil...I actually have some of that. Now if I could get the barrels off...

Larry, did your Petrik have issues with removing the barrels? Every O/U I've ever owned, you just removed the forend, opened the top lever and pulled up, but this one doesnt seem to want to pull out of the frame.

Well . . . here I'll tell one on myself. I was at the KC Gun Show, many years ago--before I ever owned a Petrik. A dealer had one. Asked if I could look at it. Sure. Could I take it apart. Sure. Well, I think I got the barrels off by accident, but I sure as heck could not get them to go back on . . . and neither could the dealer! Talk about embarrassment!

Anyhow, after I bought my first one, I knew the trick. Haven't handled one in years now, but I believe that the key was to lift the barrels straight up and out of the action, rather than tipping them like you do on 99% of the OU's and sxs (Darnes excepted, of course). Someone who has one should be along to confirm.
