I'd like to think that a real Puritan preacher wouldn't start a new thread in order to run away from his previous lies and devious behaviors:

This obviously wasn't a useless thread. It was apparently intended to continue with dishonesty by asserting that jOe had made an apology, when that simply did not happen.



I'm here because I got dragged into it. But jOe affirms that the preacher is lying:



I don't know what sort of brain eating parasite he may have contracted on his long weekend in Guatemala, but right after posting that obvious lie, he says this:



Did he really think jOe wouldn't confront him on his lie about an apology that never happened???

In general, I have nothing but deep respect for preachers, priests, ministers, and those who serve the Lord. But there are bad apples in every profession who selfishly make their peers look bad.

So then he returns, in a most un-Christian-like manner, without having the decency or humility to acknowledge that he lied to us again, and smears me with this bullshit:



Now how about that... an apology from the preacher for not debating "with humility and respect"... and then using Biblical references, along with the name of Jesus, to preface another personal smear in the same paragraph!

So no oldstarfire, this wasn't a useless thread. I believe it was intended as a useful tool for a complete fraud to attempt to pick up where he left off two months ago by dishonestly smearing me and jOe. And it was edited to post some off-topic nonsense about funding his long weekend mission trips. I'd like to know what that has to do with the subject of doubles or Damascus barrels? I don't think I'll be donating to this "operation" without seeing income tax returns. Just my opinion, as always, based upon what is posted here.

I don't think I'm the only one who wants to know why the preacher dishonestly claimed that jOe made an apology to him that never happened.

I just don't think this kind of crap is going to work out well for him.

jOe, I don't feel inclined to forgive the preacher because he hasn't repented for his lies and personal attacks. I see no reason to think his behavior will change. I'd still like to know why this Bible thumping man of the cloth dishonestly accepted an apology when it didn't really happen... and then went out of his way to claim he isn't a liar. And I'm not one to take my foot off the neck of the snake so it can bite me again.

And you know, I'm kinda shocked to learn that our Google Guru of Damascus appears to be a lot like Jagermeister on steroids. With all that copy-and-paste Google research he provides, I naturally thought he probably had a lot of hands on experience with Damascus barreled guns. Now we learn that he has one ratty L.C. Smith O grade with questionable barrels. And for some time, he owned none at all. The idea that he is offering guys his "expert" opinion on their guns when he's apparently very thin on actual experience is a pathetic joke. Maybe you and I could build a website with copy-and-paste research and pictures from NASA and pawn ourselves off as astrophysicists or something.

I guess it explains why my statement that you can be anything you want here on the internet hit such a sensitive nerve with him. I'm not surprised to see Argo44 calling us trolls and praising this puke. Birds of a feather...

Thanks Larry. Just as easy to scroll past, but sometimes you miss outrageous lies that really can't be ignored...like I don't use a damascus gun. Never really expected that jOe would be gentleman enough to apologize...but hope is a good thing.

Thanks as always for sharing. It's funny timing, as I just was reading through an old thread on another forum from a decade ago, where you were debating the "illustrious" Randy Wakeman on the inherent safety of Damascus barrels.

I wonder if he is still enamored of his own expertise on the matter.

Personally, I try to caution people specifically about guns which are both high grade, and high condition. I point out that the more engraving they have, the more dangerous they typically are. And, that's the whole reason that high grade Lefever is still in a safe after all these years. Because your grandfather, recognizing its inherent danger, wisely locked it away so no one could be injured. THAT'S why it's in mint condition! Because it's just too dangerous to even touch.

As such, I'm [selflessly] always willing to accept these guns to...um...relieve people of the burden. My civic duty, frankly.
