and the lack of rib between barrels...

Gil, I think Didier Drevet invented that riblessness.....with his Canon Plume. I could be wrong.

I picked up the gun last night, but have not had time to take pictures. It is light in the hand, has a very rounded frame (very nice in the hand) and the checkering is excellent. Lower barrel has very little choke and the top barrel is fairly tight (I don't have numbers on it, but it appears its cyl/skt in the lower and full/xfull in the top). The two issues with the gun are the cut stock, which I fully intend to purchase a leather slip on pad to resolve, and there it is ever so slightly loose. I cannot see any movement in the barrels/face, but when the gun is thrown up to the shoulder, a slight wobble is noticeable. Apparently, the Rem 32s had this issue and the standard fix is to tig weld the hinge pins to enlarge and tighten. It seems safe enough to shoot now however, it's just one of those things that annoys me. I will post pictures whenever I get the chance. Any comments about the hinge fix would be greatly appreciated.

See if shimming with strips cut from an aluminum drink can helps with the looseness. The price was right regardless. Gil

Thanks Gil, I'll give it a shot. I believe these guns have two separate hinges, similar to a Beretta 686. Maybe I'll cut some very thin strips and try it out.

Or maybe Alexander Martin in Scotland, before that. Not sure which came first.

Or get your hands on some shim stock. Comes in different thicknesses. If you can make it work, it's a good temporary fix.

It looks like the hinge studs screw in (if the Petrik is anything like a K32 or Rem 32. It may not be too difficult to remove and have tig'ed. I guess the first thing is to take the gun apart and analyze it a bit more.
