Geo wasn't "lobbying" with his opinion of Canada's progressivism, any more than I was seeking influence with NRA and Senator McCain during gunowner worries in Obama's first term. Did you ever read those news stories about a mentally ill fireman who gets caught setting fire to buildings just so he can look like a hero when he responds to fight the fire?

That's about what King is doing here... except he doesn't really respond to the fire... he just criticizes the other firemen for their response time.

King's whole life has been geared toward electing the politicians who work relentlessly to take away gun rights from law abiding citizens. Now he acts like he is shocked and surprised by the result. King is as complicit in the enacting of Canadian gun restrictions as he would be if he handed matches and a gas can to a convicted arsonist.

Even more amusing is that he thinks he can fool us, when his own words betray him. That's just sick.
