Discrimination based on where you live. Why would it be acceptable to ban a gun on one side of the street, inside a city, but not ban it on the other side which is outside the city? This is just an incremental total ban in its early stages. All for the children.
In the US we are slowly recognizing we have a major mental health issue which is out of control. The ACLU forced the stoppage of long term commitment of people with mental illnesses. Now they get dumped out and live on the streets or fend for a themselves . Worse with patient confidentiality its hard to report those who should be in institutions, under close care and who should not be allowed to own firearms. So the answer some want us to follow is turn in our guns instead of getting a grip on mental health issues and safe care for those who need it. The answer is as insane as the problem.
