An update on the stock repair, the guy has had the gun back for a few months now and has been out shooting pigeons and clays, it's all still in one piece so seems to have worked a treat.
The split went from the head, back through the wrist pin hole and finished in the safety cut out in the stock, it was an oily bit of wood and one small piece had dropped out . A good de grease over a few days with Mek solvent via a syringe so it went only where needed and then plenty of the glue was worked in by opening and closing the break, aided with cotton to draw it right into the tight bits . It was clamped up (not over tight as this squeezes too much glue out) and left out of harms way for the best part of a week.
Looks like it worked just fine. Clean up was easy too.
I'm giving the Titebond 111 the big thumbs up and the gun's owner is happy.
Great result. If he doesn't forget and jam some 2 & 3/4 shells in it again, I reckon it'll be fine

P.S. I can't post pictures sorry, well out of date system on my phone unfortunately.
