At 15 lbs., it's way too heavy, even for a .470. It should weigh 10 1/2-11 lbs. max. Beautiful piece regardless. Recoil from a .300 win. Mag is around 35 ft./lbs., so if twice that @ 70, pretty rough, but @ 3 times, brutal. However, if it actually does weigh 15 lbs. it should not be that bad.
