It is fine for hunting, when you have time to get into position and line up your shot, but in thick bush serious trouble can appear instantaneously just yards away. I would find the effort to cock/disengage the safety too distracting and clumsy when milliseconds count.


Check out the Africa safari forum. All the top PH prefer this mechanism compared to a regular safety.
