A quick visual indicator of a Folsom built Baker is the firing pin retaining screw in the frame. It is located below the firing pin in the Folsom era guns and above them on the BakerG&F (pre-1919) models. There are also guns mfg from 1915-1919 with no retaining screw.

John E, Thanks for the information. I figured at the price for a decent 16ga SXS with sidelocks I couldn't really go wrong. Just need to get it out and shoot it.

Ky Jon, This one has a well proportioned stock and seems to fit me well, stock even has some nice figure. I really appreciate the input.

Gentlemen,

skeettx (Mike) has a real nice Baker Double Gun with with some serious pointing dog engraving on her. Some of these old Baker Double guns are definitely worth owning, the gun in the picture looks like she could be made into a real fine bird gun once again, with just a little work.

Nice pick up WBLDon, have fun with her.
