For all of you Model 12 nuts. Took my son to see Transformers. Secret lab, all that stuff; anyway the good guys were cornered and went into old abandoned section of lab and there was a radio set from the 50's etc. Old Cold war stuff. Well the bad machines are coming and they break out the old retro weapons. Good old Model 12's. Looked like Riot or Guard guns. The guns aquited themselevs well. Was hoping someone had a 700 Nitro for the biggest ones.
Its always interesting to try and see what guns they use in movies.
Speaking of which, anyone ever see Utu? The guy jury rigs two hammer doubles together to go after the natives??

UTU was a good movie for double fans!!! I liked the shoot out in the farm house where the husband and wife are taking on the rebels. She opens her Jones under lever to reload her double and looks at her husband saying she's running out of ammo!!! The movie could have been better but for double fans you can't beat it!!! I wish more Westerns had single/double barrels instead of the lever actions everyone seems to have, which was not the case in reality. All the best

I always look at the guns in westerns. My favorite is when John Wayne in the Searchers rides into the home place after the Civil War. The title on the screen states a date in 1864. He takes off his gun belt and flops it on the table. It carried a brace of 1872 Colts. So much for historical accuracy. jd

The hammer double Kurt Russel used in Tounbstone looked like a 10ga. maybe an L.C.Smith but I can't remember. I to look at guns in Westerns as well as the antiques. There was a gun cabinet in the movie Giant that was about the finest I have ever seen. It looked like Victorian Rennisance Revial walnut and just perfect.

I can't remember the name of the movie right now, but one of the most amazing things I have ever seen occured in a shootout with Gene Hackman and a few other hollywood stars. Somehow they got a SxS to shoot at least 4 times without reloading. I still haven't figured that one out.

Or how about Moe in the Simpsons. He shoots a hammer double that is a pump as well. That is some creative animation.

I'm glad you guys are making so much fun of this while I'm having a meltdown over this. No single shots, no muzzleloaders, no anything except lever actions. I'm starting to run out of movies to enjoy. Thankfully the remake of the Alamo, I didn't see one lever action I can't believe Hollywood made a movie and didn't include one lever action!!!! All the best

There's a Charles Bronson/Lee Marvin movie DEATH HUNT, based on a true story of a manhunt by the RCMP's. Lots of recognizeable levers pumps and milsurps.

Kevin Costner has a short Parker in his movie version of Wyatt Earp.
