I can view Photo Bucket images again without using the PB extension meaning they are visible on my iPhone and using Safari on the MAC. Hope it is not a temporary condition.

They sent me an email offering me an account for $1.99 per month. They would not have lost all their customers if they had offered something like that before.

My photos from the past suddenly reappeared about a week ago as I was redoing the photos on the EM Reilly line. No one asked me for money. However, I still changed them out on that line (Dave reopened the posts for me) because you just can't trust them. Have the photos from 10 years ago reappeared for all postings?
This company tried to practice blatant extortion...."you WILL pay us or all the web sites in the world which have used us for 15 years will be blank." They destroyed whole lines of hobbyists' postings - stamp collectors, oriental rugs, shotguns. And now they come back begging for business. Will anyone trust them ever? They'll be bankrupt in a year.

I just checked some pics I posted eight years ago on the Parker board and "presto!" They have reappeared!

Nope Stan - I'm not a bettor; But I do know that they had millions of customers and millions of clicks per day...and because of that they sold so many ads that it was difficult to navigate the site. They really controlled the market for 15 years. It was an amazing business model; by offering free stuff they made a ton of money.
Then they decided to opt for extortion. It obviously didn't work. But in the meantime 15 competitors have sprung up and photobucket will never have that market dominance again.

I'm not defending PB in any way or in anything. All I've ever said is that it has always worked for me, without ever paying them a dime...........and some others too, it seems. It's bad that so many pics were apparently lost, but when you're getting something for free, why not use some foresight and back it up yourself? Personally, I never thought of this forum, or any other, as a database that would last forever, pics or no pics.

The purpose of wealth is to make ones job easier. There is no shame to admit one spent money on Photo Bucket. Thankfully my dear friend Keith said just about any picture can be lifted off the net and presented as ones own therefore I no longer have to post pictures here.

Do we know if Jolly Bill moved or removed his pics from Photobucket? If they were moved or removed they wouldn't show up in the linked thread.

Appears on bended knee they have new offers? http://photobucket.com/beginner-plan/?postlogin=truehttps://support.photobucket.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004314254-Welcome-to-the-New-Photobucket-"Photobucket has new management, and we are liberating your images! As of today, your hosted images are live. Photobucket has a new management team that wants to do the right thing. We are committed to earning back your trust and offering comprehensive and flexible image storage and hosting options for our customers. Weve taken your feedback and made some changes to our pricing model that allows us to offer competitively priced plans that fit the needs of all of our customers. Today, our current customers hosted images have been restored and Photobucket is introducing a new pricing plan that is built around everyones needs. For a limited time, we are offering a new, competitive subscription package that includes ad-free storage and 3rd party image hosting for just $1.99 per month, or $19.99 per year - which is 95 percent less than the previous pricing model. A free subscription option will still be available to customers who do not require 3rd party image hosting. In an effort to improve our customers experience, weve also moved away from an advertising-based model and have eliminated a portion of ads from the site. Photobucket pioneered the image sharing and hosting market 15 years ago, and our new management team is committed to returning Photobucket to the premier imaging service people had come to know and trust. There are more positive changes on the way, but for now we are excited to share this new compelling subscription option, as a testament to our dedication to you, our valued customers." About 6 months before this kerfuffle with PB started, I signed up for $1.99 a month to eliminate the ads. So through this whole time, I've had no difficulty with my images and no ads.
Glad to see they have returned to their senses. Sounds like they needed to clean house, and they have.

Many businesses make mistakes, and some pay for them with blood.............marketshare. Some realize their mistake and do what they can to correct it..............then move ahead. They are smart. They may never recoup all their lost market share, but that doesn't mean they will go bankrupt either.
I might pay them $1.99/mo. to be rid of the ads, though the ads have never kept me from posting pics, just slowed it down a bit. Or, I may just keep going like I always have.

How many mistakes were bigger than when Coke changed their flavor to become more Pepsi like? Then they came back with classic coke. They should have called it we F-up and fired that stupid CEO. Took them ten years to live that down.

I personally don't think there was any change in management at all, just a change in perception / policy. Haven't looked @ their employee list before & after though......

Wild Skies, Nope, I have not removed any pictures from PhotoBucket. I still have those Reilly pictures in my PC file if anyone would like them posted again via imgur.com. Jolly

Thankfully my dear friend Keith said just about any picture can be lifted off the net and presented as ones own therefore I no longer have to post pictures here. Well jeez Jagermeister, I wouldn't have said it if it wasn't for guys like you who claimed to own guns that were merely being held on Layaway, or who suddenly claimed to have saved one very nice SLE double after a couple years of admitting to not owning any and being in the market for one. Of course, wild fictitious claims and inflated resumes on the Internet are nothing new. But the wheels fall off pretty quickly when you can't keep your lies straight, don't they? Maybe you can do a better job in the future and actually fool people on some other website like your Liberal Gun Club forum where people are already delusional enough to think you can consider yourself pro-2nd amendment even when you vote for anti-gun Democrats who promise to infringe upon it.
Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug

I just tried to upload a pic to my long useless account. I did successfully post a pic from it yesterday just to see if it would work. The upload didn't and there best offer to me was $2.49 a month. I hate nickle 'n dime in' and have no faith in the entity any longer... Imgur seems to be working better for me for some reason although I have no faith there either.
