eightbore: my opinion re the miller single trigger is about function, rather than form...if this gun had significant collector potential, then yes, a non factory trigger would decrease its value...however, as this gun appears to be reworked to replicate a parker skeet gun, then a miller single trigger is a better functional choice than the notorious parker single trigger...
as to the case colors, they look like the product of high heat bone charcoal work to me...or they could be chemically induced...hard to say...but, the broken forend iron could be attributed to improper tempering, which left the forend iron brittle and weak...
and it is quite intriguing to learn that the serialization book indicates this gun was originally made with damascus barrels...wonder if the book is wrong on this one, as it sometimes is on others? the plot thickens...
