Well, despite the in bickering going on in this post. I am grateful for the opinions, pointers, and great info given. As I stated in the beginning, I've been asked to help sell this shotgun for the widow of the son of the original owner. Like anything in life, the stories change within days of an occurrence, much less 60-70 years after. The where and what has happened to this gun is forever lost. The fact remains, it's a nicely done shooter grade gun. If the barn wasn't slap full of acquired orphaned guns like this and I could afford it, I would probably keep this one too. lol But I don't shoot shotgun much and have no interest in a 16 Ga. So I will post it here as well as a couple of other sites and see where it goes. I will link this post with the posting of the shotgun to give potential buyers the best knowledge of the gun that we can come up with. Again I thank all of you for your input. God bless
