Winchester348,

You are getting a lot of chatter here on your gun here. Take heed and be selective as to who you listen too. Just because one posts a LOT on a thread, does not mean they know their stuff.

Anyway... your Parker has been heavily altered from its original configuration when it was made. Based on the number of repair codes, it was at the Parker (remington) factory many times for various reasons. I can tell you that the restock and the conversion to a beavertail forend was certainly done by the remington factory. The miller trigger conversion and the case colors on the gun were not. The case colors were likely done at the same time as the trigger since the installation of the trigger would require at least the trigger plate to be annealed and then hardened again.

Generally factory upgrades and changes to a gun are not frowned upon by the collecting community. However, the trigger and the case colors would be.
The only real wart on the gun is the damage to the forend iron which appears to have been dropped and the corners broken off.

The gun would still have a lot of value to people as a shooter. It would be expected to be worth maybe in the middle of the broad range of values that one may see on such guns.

If you want any more thoughts on the gun, please do aska bout it on the PGCA forum. You will not get anymore useful information on it here.
