The serialization book indicates that the gun originally left the factory with 26" barrels, double triggers, a capped pistol grip stock and a splinter forend.

bbman3 Yes, It was put on GON and ODT but at the time we knew very little about it. Not much demand for a nice Parker 16 Ga here in Georgia since the last quail died out with the last dodo. lol

If anyone else wants a particular picture or angle let me know. I'm hoping to get a realistic value on this gun. As eightbore mentioned being careful not to represent this gun as anything other then it is. I would hate for someone to buy it and find it wasn't what it has been advertised as, As well as I would hate to sell it for the owner and realize I didn't get a fair price for it. Any ideas on the value of the gun?

Either the barrels have been cut or the ribs relayed. The steel wedge is missing at the muzzle on the under rib. I can't tell about the top rib. Heavy polishing on metal. My gut instinct is the gun was altered by someone outside of Remington. Wouldn't Remington have retained the mullered border on the checkering?

well, what is becoming evident, is that what we have here is a 1920's vintage parker ghe, reasonably well reworked into a 1930's era parker skeet gun configuration...as such, based upon what we know now, it's primary value these days would be to a nostalgic skeet shooter...best guess, is that, after the forend iron is fixed, etc, a fair retail value could be around $3000...with that said, suggest you put it out on gunbroker with a high reserve, and let er rip for a few cycles, to see what that market thinks...after a while you will know what gunbroker buyers think, and then you can relist it at no reserve, based on the high bid and hopefully sell it...or not...
