Craig, I beg your pardon, but did I call for new laws? What makes me say guns aren't necessarily benign is the fact that so many people nowadays are slaughtered with them....
....I don't accept the notion that ...... schools are "force-feeding" some harmful agenda to our kids. The kids I know today....
....You read in what you're predisposed to think. As Wonko says, " I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you."
Bill, I didn't make you type that you voted for hill because of her qualifications. I'd hope you meant that you agreed with the laws and regulations that her policy would bring, and not that she was only qualified to talk our ears off? When it comes to schools, I can't visit them all. I comment from the perspective of looking at syllabus', homework, text books, etc. of kids, and now grandkids over a good few decades. I can also read school district and union mission statements, can see school district policy decisions, college and university policies and activism. Don't tell me your feelings that I'm wrong, show me the facts about why I'm wrong. What do you think, do we need to budget for homosexuality awareness in kindergarten, and eliminate shop classes for high schoolers? I couldn't care less if a young budding dem or Republican figures out that they're a natural in auto shop or wood shop, but you're the fellow, by your vote, that wants them to get 'free' college, right? We all know the value of anything that's free, eh?
I think the good doctor has some merit with that quote, but shouldn't your explanations be more than just feelings? Please don't suppose that you can get away with, lacking facts and figures, saying that guns can slaughter. I asked a bit ago if there was some possible way that you could be meaningfully anti criminal, but the definition of meaningful will likely be clouded by your feelings about pc. What would happen if grade school kids had to discuss, 'don't tread on me', instead of ethnic revisionist history and guilt trips. You can interpret as you see fit why I use labels. No matter the topic, you've been consistently on a wrecking the earth mantra lately, haven't you? I might remind you that I've explained in the past that I use sarcasm to point out hypocrisy and double standards, right? Where you see labels and my faults, I see things you might consider food for thought.
