Really pretty bowie, jOe. I love that old elephant ivory, too. My buddy from Cornelia, GA, Ivan Boggs, forged my bowie blade in his little shop. He told me he wanted to make me a knife and told me to draw out what I wanted. I drew the pattern for the whole knife on a piece of cardboard, and he made it. The blade has 320 layers. I watched him spend almost a whole day just forging one blade and shaping it. The tang and guard on mine are all damascus.

Lloyd, those Campolin knives are very nice. I looked at their website just now. There is a lot to be said for being able to carry a dagger type blade in your pocket. I kinda like their "Maltese" design. There are so many it is staggering. I have some "assisted opening" Benchmarks, but they are really working knives that I use everyday, not "dress" defensive knives. Will the Campolin take a really good edge?
