I'm only with you partly, he probably did wound many ducks but we also do that with our shotguns. Unethical I'm not sure.

Ethical has little meaning in my life.

A quick kill with minimal suffering is what I strive to achieve whether for birds or big game.

I agree right there and that's what I consider one of the basics of ethical hunting. Using the correct tool to try and achieve minimal suffering.

Yeah, but I admitted they're pretty good for kick-em-up quail. First day doves, maybe. Gun training grandchildren, for sure. But that's far from a capitulation on the subject...Geo
